  • Be a male student.

    Have full-time UA enrollment status, including first-semester students (12 or more hours at the University).

    Register before the start of the fall semester.

    Pay a participation fee at the time of registration.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Fraternity Financial obligations vary, but on average, campus dues are around $3,800 per member per semester. As of 2023, Delta Sigma Phi is slightly below the average. This does not include rent if living in the Chapter House.

    These dues encompass a range of expenses, including chapter operational costs, events, philanthropy, and national fraternity dues. For more information, please contact our Recruitment committee.

  • As a fraternity, our six-week pledging period embodies our commitment to fostering lifelong bonds, personal growth, and a deep understanding of our values. Throughout this time, our pledges engage in a variety of activities and events designed to build unity, character, and leadership skills essential in becoming Better Men.

    The time commitment for our pledges includes study hours, regular meetings, educational sessions, community service initiatives, brotherhood events, and bonding activities.

    We believe that this dedicated period allows pledges to immerse themselves in our fraternity’s culture, traditions, and values, paving the way for a meaningful and impactful fraternity experience.

  • Members of Delta Sigma Phi aim to be The Better Man, meaning that we are a group of men creating culture, harmony and friendship.

    All members are expected adhere to the Fraternity’s policies and participate in the Fraternity’s prevention education initiatives.

  • We adhere to a no hazing policy.

    Delta Sigma Phi is committed to the safety of its members, and as such, expects members to feel empowered to take a proactive role in maintaining basic expectations of membership. We strongly encourage members, parents, and host communities to reach out to us with any concerns relating to safety or policy violations.

  • Yes, Delta Sigma Phi is open to those who have yet to decide a major at the University of Alabama.

  • During the pledge period, we, as a fraternity, aim to provide an immersive experience that fosters camaraderie, personal development, and a deep understanding of our values. Pledges engage in a series of activities and events designed to cultivate unity, respect, and leadership skills. They attend regular meetings where they learn about our fraternity’s history, values, and traditions. Additionally, they participate in community service initiatives, educational workshops, and bonding events, all crafted to instill a strong sense of brotherhood and commitment. This period serves as a transformative journey, allowing pledges to forge lifelong connections while embracing the essence of our fraternity’s culture.

  • Yes, every November the undergraduate chapter holds elections for all of its leadership positions. There are numerous appointed chairs and committees that also oversee various portions of the fraternity.

  • Post graduation, alumnus are welcome to join the Alumni Chapter. They are permitted to run for Alumni Chapter Executive Board and Alumni Corporation Board positions if in good standing with the Alumni Chapter.
