The Beta Kappa Alumni Corporation Board

The Alumni Corporation Board (ACB) plays a vital role in providing and managing the Chapter House for current and future members of the fraternity. It is comprised of eight total members: four elected alumni volunteers, two appointed alumni volunteers, and two undergraduates. This corporation focuses on acquiring, maintaining, and improving the Chapter House. Their responsibilities encompass property management, maintenance, renovations, staff management, and ensuring a safe, conducive living environment for the active members.

Additionally, they oversee financial matters related to the housing, including budgets, rent, contracts, and property upkeep, with the primary goal of supporting the ongoing success and sustainability of the fraternity chapter.

Beyond housing, they serve as liaisons to the University of Alabama, fostering positive relations with the administration, navigating regulations, and aligning the Chapter House with university standards. By facilitating open communications and adherence to guidelines, they foster a collaborative partnership, enriching the collegiate experience for all members.

The ACB is charged with awarding the William Shepherd Scholarship Fund. This Fund was generously dedicated by William Shepherd who was apart of the 1934 pledge class of Beta Kappa at the University of Alabama. Over the past few years the Fund has been able to award over $10,000 year over year. The Fund is administered by The Delta Sigma Phi National Foundation.
